Job Description

We have partnered with an award winning, reputable law firm in search of a dynamic Estate Planning Paralegal. 

They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in estate planning and probate processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role requires a high level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive client information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with the drafting and reviewing of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.

  • Prepare and file probate and trust administration documents with the court.

  • Coordinate and manage the collection of client information and documentation necessary for estate planning.

  • Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documents are current and properly filed.

  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and other parties to gather information and provide updates on case status.

  • Support attorneys during client meetings, including scheduling, preparing documents, and following up on action items.

  • Assist in the preparation of estate and trust accountings.

  • Monitor and track deadlines for filings and other important dates.

  • Provide administrative support to the estate planning team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certification or equivalent education/experience a plus.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in estate planning, probate, or a related field.

  • Proficient in legal document preparation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
