Job Description

A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking a driven Field Engineer to support project teams and assist with the day-to-day coordination of commercial construction projects.

The Field Engineer will work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and subcontractors to help ensure projects run efficiently, stay on schedule, and maintain strong quality and safety standards. This Field Engineer role is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their construction career who wants to gain hands-on experience in the field and grow within a respected contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Superintendents and Project Managers with daily project coordination

  • Assist with subcontractor scheduling and jobsite logistics

  • Help track project progress and maintain project documentation

  • Review drawings and specifications to support field execution

  • Assist with RFIs, submittals, and field reports

  • Coordinate inspections and ensure work meets project specifications

  • Support jobsite safety efforts and maintain organized field documentation

Qualifications:

  • 1–3+ years of construction experience or relevant internship experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work closely with field teams and subcontractors

  • Proficiency with construction management software is a plus
