Owner’s Representative – Multifamily (Build-for-Rent)

A growing and well-capitalized development group is seeking an experienced Owner’s Representative to oversee multiple multifamily build-for-rent projects. This role will act as the owner’s advocate, managing project execution from preconstruction through completion while coordinating closely with builders, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience working on the builder/general contractor side, with a deep understanding of wood-frame multifamily construction and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent ownership and provide oversight on multiple multifamily build-for-rent projects

• Manage projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved

• Review budgets, schedules, contracts, and change orders to protect the owner’s interests

• Assist in contractor selection and procurement during preconstruction

• Ensure projects meet schedule, cost, and quality expectations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multifamily construction experience

• Previous experience working for a general contractor or builder

• Strong experience with wood-frame multifamily construction

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong understanding of construction budgets, schedules, and contracts

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across ownership, consultants, and contractors

• Experience with build-for-rent or multifamily communities preferred
