A reputable and long-standing construction contractor is looking to add a Project Manager with proven experience in sitework, excavation, and underground utilities. This position is well-suited for a hands-on professional who understands heavy civil operations and enjoys managing complex, field-intensive projects.
The Project Manager will lead civil construction projects from early planning through final delivery, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project goals. This role requires close collaboration with field teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Lead sitework, excavation, and underground utility projects through all phases
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
Oversee subcontractor buyout, contracts, and ongoing coordination
Partner with superintendents to drive production and field execution
Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and client representatives
Enforce safety standards and ensure regulatory and specification compliance
Monitor progress, manage changes, and communicate updates to leadership
Minimum of 5 years managing sitework, excavation, or utility construction projects
Strong technical knowledge of grading, earthwork, storm, sewer, and water systems
Proven experience overseeing multiple crews and subcontractors
Ability to interpret civil plans, specifications, and project documentation
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience with construction management and scheduling software preferred
