Job Description

The Lending Manager oversees all lending operations, ensuring the provision of comprehensive financial services, including loan processing and origination. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance, driving the financial success of the institution, and enhancing customer satisfaction through innovative financial solutions.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Loan Management: Direct and manage all loan department activities, ensuring efficient processes and compliance with regulations. Oversee the portfolio growth and quality of loan underwriting.

  • Customer Interaction and Service: Handle customer inquiries and loan processing, ensuring a superior customer experience. Make informed lending decisions that align with the financial institution’s goals and customer needs.

  • Strategic Leadership and Reporting: Develop strategic initiatives to enhance loan services and report on progress towards institutional goals. Monitor financial market trends to inform strategic direction.

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the seamless operation of the lending department, emphasizing technological integration such as mobile banking and electronic services to enhance operational efficiency and customer accessibility.

  • Compliance and Policy Oversight: Maintain adherence to all regulatory and policy requirements, continuously updating procedures to reflect current laws and best practices.

  • Staff Development and Support: Manage and develop a team of lending professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and performance optimization.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of three years in a management role within a lending environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to use modern banking technology.

Physical Requirements:

  • Mostly sedentary; occasional mobility needed within office environments.

Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
