Position Title: Project Manager – Structural Steel Erection
Compensation: Competitive salary + bonus + benefits
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee structural steel erection projects from project kickoff through completion. This role is responsible for coordinating field operations, managing project schedules and budgets, and working closely with general contractors, superintendents, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing structural steel erection scopes, including coordination with fabrication shops, field crews, and subcontractors.
Manage structural steel erection projects from contract award through closeout
Coordinate with general contractors, fabrication teams, and field superintendents
Develop and maintain project schedules and track progress in the field
Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting
Review project drawings, specifications, and erection plans
Oversee RFIs, submittals, and change order processes
Coordinate crane schedules, equipment needs, and manpower planning
Conduct jobsite visits and maintain communication with field crews
Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and schedule expectations
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners
5+ years of experience managing structural steel erection or related construction projects
Strong understanding of structural steel drawings and erection sequencing
Experience coordinating with fabrication shops and field installation teams
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (not required)
