The Project Manager is responsible for managing structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects from project kickoff through completion. This role works closely with internal teams including estimating, detailing, fabrication, and field operations to ensure successful project delivery.
The Project Manager will coordinate schedules, manage project documentation, track costs, and maintain communication with general contractors and project stakeholders.
Manage structural steel and miscellaneous metals construction projects
Coordinate project schedules with detailing, fabrication, and field teams
Review shop drawings and coordinate detailing revisions
Track project budgets, costs, and financial performance
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
Coordinate procurement of materials and subcontractors
Communicate regularly with general contractors and project stakeholders
Support fabrication shop scheduling and erection sequencing
Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or delays
Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained throughout the project
1-5 years of experience in structural steel or miscellaneous metals construction
Experience working with steel fabrication and erection projects
Familiarity with steel detailing software such as SDS/2, Tekla, or similar
Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
Strong organizational and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
