Assistant Director of Nursing
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with a passion for long-term care to join our leadership team. The ADON will assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and promoting a culture of excellence within our nursing department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management and supervision of nursing staff within the long-term care setting.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement policies and procedures tailored to long-term care.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care standards and outcomes specific to long-term care residents.
- Support staff development through training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Participate in budgeting and resource allocation for the nursing department.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards related to long-term care.
- Address staff and patient concerns effectively and efficiently.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in NY.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with 1 years in a long-term care or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and quality assurance specific to long-term care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
