Senior Heavy Civil Estimator

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Heavy Civil Estimator to support the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for large-scale heavy civil construction projects. This role plays a critical part in preconstruction planning and bid development across a variety of civil scopes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects

• Analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents

• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors

• Develop and review bid proposals and supporting documentation

• Collaborate with project managers, operations, and leadership during the bidding process

• Assess project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience estimating heavy civil construction projects

• Proven experience with scopes including structures, concrete paving, heavy highway, and related civil work

• Strong understanding of construction means and methods

• Experience with HCSS HeavyBid software is highly preferred

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
