Associate Attorney
Our law firm in Miami is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team in downtown Miami. We are looking for a driven professional with four to seven years of law firm experience to represent our clients in high-stakes litigation involving complex business disputes, professional liability defense, and insurance industry matters, including bad faith litigation. Responsibilities
Represent firm clients in litigation involving complex business disputes, focusing on strategic case management, motions practice, and trial preparation.
Defend a diverse range of professionals in professional liability matters, including lawyers, accountants, design professionals, trustees, fiduciaries, and insurance agents/brokers (note: we do not handle medical malpractice or represent healthcare professionals).
Handle insurance industry cases, representing insurers in coverage disputes, bad faith litigation, and providing coverage opinions and policy analysis.
Conduct in-depth legal research and draft high-quality briefs, pleadings, and opinions on complex business and professional liability issues.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies, ensuring exceptional client service and outcomes in bad faith and related disputes.
Qualifications
Four to seven years of law firm experience as an attorney, with significant exposure to at least one of the following: complex business litigation, professional liability defense, or insurance coverage/bad faith matters.
Interest in expanding expertise across all listed categories, including complex business disputes, professional liability, and bad faith litigation.
Superior analytical, research, and writing skills are required to handle sophisticated legal issues.
Florida Bar admission (or eligibility to waive in) is mandatory.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset.
