JOB DESCRIPTION

A growing and well-established Structural Steel Fabricator / Erector is seeking an experienced Safety Director to lead and strengthen safety operations across structural steel erection projects throughout the Gulf market.

This individual will provide strategic and hands-on leadership for all aspects of environmental health and safety while supporting field operations, driving compliance initiatives, reducing risk exposure, and reinforcing a strong safety-first culture across the organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage all company safety initiatives for structural steel erection operations
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve company safety policies, procedures, and training programs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, client-specific requirements, and applicable safety regulations
• Conduct jobsite audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and corrective action plans
• Partner with Operations, Project Management, and Field Leadership to proactively mitigate risk
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries while driving root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Lead onboarding and safety orientation programs for field employees and subcontractors
• Manage and maintain safety documentation, reporting, and compliance records
• Track and report safety KPIs including TRIR, EMR, incident trends, and leading indicators
• Support preconstruction efforts with site-specific safety planning and client safety requirements
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ongoing employee engagement initiatives
• Build and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of safety leadership experience supporting structural steel erection, industrial construction, or related heavy construction environments
• Direct experience supporting steel erection field operations strongly preferred
• OSHA 500 and/or CSHP certification
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, steel erection standards, and construction safety best practices
• Experience conducting investigations, audits, and implementing corrective actions
• Familiarity with fall protection, crane operations, rigging, elevated work, and heavy equipment safety
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, project teams, superintendents, and field personnel
• Experience developing and delivering safety training programs
• Strong organizational, documentation, and leadership skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Base Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 DOE
