Qualifications: 

  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school 

  • Minimum of 3-years’ experience preferred.

  • Experience in various populations 

  • Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.

  • Prescriptive privileges – DEA Controlled Substances

  • Knowledge of Evidence-based best practices, trauma informed therapy and client-centered treatment.

Experienced welcomed but not required?

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus for some of our patients! 

What will you do?

  • Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments and develops and monitors treatment plans.

  • Prescribe psychiatric medications and collaborates with the psychiatrist, therapists, case management and primary care physicians to facilitate appropriate medication monitoring and adherence.

  • Provide psychiatric consultations.

  • Coordinate services with the client’s primary care physician.

  • Complete timely and appropriate documentation in the electronic medical records for clients.

  • Maintains compliance regarding state, federal and CHI guidelines.

  • Demonstrate a high comfort working with diverse populations and an understanding of the cultural and social barriers that can exist when accessing health or health-related care.

  • Promote a positive team-based approach to treatment and care.
