Job Title: Recycling General Manager

Position Summary
The Recycling General Manager leads all aspects of recycling facility operations, from daily production and safety compliance to financial performance and team leadership. This role ensures efficient processing of recyclable materials, drives customer and community relationships, and champions continuous improvement across safety, environmental, and operational programs. Key Responsibilities
Oversee full facility operations, including materials processing, safety protocols, environmental compliance, and production goals. The Ladders
Manage profit & loss (P&L), budgeting, cost control, and operational performance to meet revenue and efficiency targets. Zippia
Lead, hire, train, and develop supervisory and front-line teams while promoting a strong safety culture. The Ladders
Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and municipal partners in the recycling supply chain. Zippia
Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. The Ladders
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational data to drive continuous improvement. Zippia
Represent the company in community and industry settings when needed. Zippia
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience). The Ladders
5+ years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in recycling, waste management, industrial operations, or similar sectors. The Ladders
Strong financial acumen and experience managing operations against financial goals. Zippia
