Job Order: Litigation Attorney – Global Trade & Transportation Team

We are currently working with a highly respected law firm in New Orleans, Louisiana, seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their Global Trade & Transportation Team.

This is a full-time, in-office position offering the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters involving transportation, maritime, and commercial defense cases. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, strong mentorship, and commitment to professional growth.

Position Details

• Title: Litigation Attorney – Global Trade & Transportation Team
• Location: New Orleans, Louisiana (full-time, in-office)
• Experience Level: Mid to senior-level attorney
• Practice Areas: Personal Injury, Insurance Defense, Commercial Litigation
• Preferred Background: Motor Carrier, Rail, or Maritime Litigation
• Licensing: Louisiana law license or ability to waive in required

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.
• Conduct and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and develop case strategies.
• Manage a diverse caseload involving transportation and global trade disputes.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and strategic insight.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation settings.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and clients to ensure the efficient resolution of matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Proven experience conducting and defending depositions.
• Regular court appearance experience required.
• First-chair trial experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong organization, time management, and client communication abilities.
• Licensed to practice law in Louisiana or eligible to waive in.
