Position Overview
The Director of Maintenance / Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance program for the training fleet, ensuring safe, airworthy aircraft through inspections, compliance, technician supervision, recordkeeping, and coordination with operations to maximize availability.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all maintenance for the training fleet and ensure FAA Part 91 compliance.
Supervise A&P technicians and coordinate work with vendors.
Maintain records, logbooks, and digital tracking systems.
Oversee parts inventory and maintenance budgets.
Schedule maintenance to support flight operations with minimal downtime.
Lead safety and quality assurance programs.
Serve as the FAA point of contact during audits and inspections.
Foster a culture of safety and teamwork.
Qualifications
FAA A&P certificate required; IA preferred.
5+ years of general aviation maintenance experience, including leadership.
Knowledge of piston-engine aircraft (Cessna, Piper, Diamond).
Experience with maintenance tracking and digital logbooks.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving ability.
Commitment to safety and regulatory accuracy.
