Associate Attorney – Class Action Employment Litigation – San Digo, CA

A growing, mid-sized law firm is seeking an experienced litigation associate to join their class action practice group in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in employment litigation, specifically defending wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive team focused on providing responsive, high-quality legal services while enjoying a flexible and balanced work culture. The is a Hybrid position - 3 days in the office and 2 days remote from home in San Diego.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle class action cases from inception through resolution with guidance and mentorship from partners
  • Conduct internal investigations, legal research, and draft motions and pleadings
  • Prepare discovery, take and defend depositions, and represent clients in court proceedings
  • Develop case strategies and analyze client needs
  • Represent clients in court, including arguing motions and attending hearings
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case management

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in employment litigation, particularly in defending wage and hour class actions and PAGA. 
  • Licensed to practice law in California
  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload independently
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with iManage and Coyote Analytics preferred
  • 1850 billable hours requirement
