Senior Freight Broker / Transportation Broker


 Manassas, VA (Hybrid)
 $75,000 – $120,000 Base (DOE) + Aggressive Commission Structure

We are seeking an experienced Freight Broker / Transportation Broker who knows how to move freight, build customer relationships, and generate revenue. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a proven producer who can bring industry knowledge, relationships, and a track record of performance.

If you thrive in a fast-paced brokerage environment and have the ability to build and manage a profitable book of business, we want to speak with you.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage new shipper relationships while maintaining existing accounts
  • Coordinate domestic freight across FTL, LTL, and specialized shipments
  • Negotiate rates with carriers and customers to maximize margin
  • Manage shipments from pickup through delivery ensuring excellent customer service
  • Utilize load boards, carrier networks, and industry contacts to secure capacity
  • Track margins, revenue, and shipment performance to meet growth targets

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Freight Broker, Transportation Broker, or Account Manager in a brokerage environment
  • Strong knowledge of domestic freight markets, carrier sourcing, and rate negotiation
  • Demonstrated ability to generate revenue and maintain margins
  • Highly organized with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a performance-driven, commission environment

Candidates must be prepared to provide verifiable performance metrics, including:

  • Monthly/annual revenue generated
  • Gross margin produced
  • Size of book of business
  • Shipment volume and account history

Be ready to show your numbers and be able to back them up.
