Job Description

A reputable and growing law firm in the St. Louis area is seeking a motivated Civil Litigation / Personal Injury Attorney with 4–8 years of experience to join its established litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload and play a key role in case strategy, client advocacy, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable handling matters from intake through resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload involving civil litigation and personal injury matters from initial filing through trial or settlement

  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement demands

  • Take and defend depositions, including parties, witnesses, and experts

  • Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed

  • Evaluate liability and damages and develop case strategy

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and experts

  • Collaborate with support staff and other attorneys to ensure efficient case management

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Missouri Bar (or ability to waive in)

  • 4–8 years of civil litigation and/or personal injury experience

  • Experience handling depositions, mediations, and motion practice

  • Trial experience or strong trial exposure preferred

  • Excellent writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills

  • Ability to independently manage a litigation docket
