A reputable and growing law firm in the St. Louis area is seeking a motivated Civil Litigation / Personal Injury Attorney with 4–8 years of experience to join its established litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload and play a key role in case strategy, client advocacy, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable handling matters from intake through resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload involving civil litigation and personal injury matters from initial filing through trial or settlement
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement demands
Take and defend depositions, including parties, witnesses, and experts
Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed
Evaluate liability and damages and develop case strategy
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and experts
Collaborate with support staff and other attorneys to ensure efficient case management
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with the Missouri Bar (or ability to waive in)
4–8 years of civil litigation and/or personal injury experience
Experience handling depositions, mediations, and motion practice
Trial experience or strong trial exposure preferred
Excellent writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
Ability to independently manage a litigation docket
