Health & Safety Director/Manager in Union City

Job Description

Leading bay area mechanical contractor is looking for a Safety Director. Join a highly respected mechanical contractor with an excellent culture.. 

Primary responsibilities for the Safety Director position include:

• Lead an injury-free safety program.
• Foster the development of safety on and off the project site.
• Apply all safe construction work practices.
• Perform regular jobsite safety audits.
• Maintain an injury-free environment.
• Perform annual safety orientations for all new hires, subcontractors, and employees.

Primary qualifications for the Safety Director include:

• 10+ years of experience 
• SMS, CHST, STSC, CSP, SMS, CIT, CIH, OHST, CHMM certifications preferred
• Current CPR/First Air/AED certification is a PLUS.
• Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC) certification is preferred but not required.
• Supervision of all safety team members.
