Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense/Medical Malpractice (Philadelphia Area)

Our well-respected and established law firm seeks a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our growing Insurance Defense and/or Medical Malpractice practice group in the Philadelphia area. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex and engaging cases within a supportive and collegial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a caseload of insurance defense and/or medical malpractice matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Attend court appearances, including hearings and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Meet the firm's annual billable hour requirement of 1800 hours.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in insurance defense or medical malpractice litigation is required.
  • Candidates with 5-10 years of dedicated medical malpractice experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
