A busy plaintiff’s personal injury firm, is seeking a motivated and experienced Attorney to join our team as a Team Leader. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in personal injury law to manage all phases of personal injury cases from inception through trial or settlement.

• The position requires a high-performing trial attorney with extensive experience in personal injury litigation and strong leadership skills
• Proven experience with New York personal injury law, including pre-litigation, litigation, and trial
• Active New York Bar license
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Licensed to practice law in Texas
• Exceptional leadership and management abilities
• Strong negotiation and litigation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• This role involves overseeing a team of trial attorneys and legal staff, ensuring effective case development and client-centered results
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 4-6 attorneys and their support staff
• Ensure thorough case development from intake through trial or resolution
• Oversee client meetings, strategy discussions, and case evaluations
• Draft and send demand letters; negotiate settlements
• File lawsuits and manage litigation processes
• Issue and respond to written discovery; review medical records
• Conduct motion practice and court hearings
• Prepare for and conduct depositions; prepare for trial or settlement
• Supervise all assigned cases, ensuring timely and high-quality legal work
