An award-winning, prestigious law firm has partnered with us to assist them in a selective search for a Legal Assistant with administrative experince in their Memphis office.
Currently named Best Lawyers multiple years in a row, attorneys on the peer-reviewed list. They have a great culture with little to no turnover and higher pay for the market.
Legal Support:
- Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Prepare and file legal documents in accordance with court rules and firm procedures.
- Maintain case files, including organizing evidence and preparing exhibits for hearings and trials.
- Assist attorneys with legal research and document review.
- Coordinate legal calendars, including scheduling meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
Executive Administrative Support:
- Manage calendars and appointments for senior executives and attorneys.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, memos, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and handle logistics for business trips.
- Maintain confidential files and assist in office management tasks as needed.
- Organize and attend meetings, taking accurate minutes and following up on action items.
- Prepare presentations and assist with high-level project coordination.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Paralegal certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, or executive administrative role.
- Previous experience in a law firm or legal department is highly preferred.
- Strong experience with office management and executive-level administrative tasks.
- Proficient in legal software (e.g., Clio, LexisNexis, Westlaw, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
