Job Title: NICET II Fire Alarm Technician Industry: Fire Protection / Life Safety Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Mid-Level (3+ years required)

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced NICET II Fire Alarm Technician to join their life safety team. This individual will play a key role in the inspection, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, technically skilled, and passionate about ensuring systems function properly to protect lives and property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72 and local fire codes

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm system components including control panels, initiating devices, and notification appliances

  • Accurately document deficiencies, repairs, and inspections using digital reporting tools

  • Communicate findings clearly with customers and recommend corrective actions as needed

  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents to ensure proper system function and installation

  • Maintain compliance with AHJ, OSHA, and company safety standards

  • Provide on-call/emergency service support as required

Required Qualifications:

  • NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (required)

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience servicing commercial fire alarm systems

  • Familiarity with major manufacturers such as Notifier, Silent Knight, Siemens, Simplex, Gamewell, EST, or others

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents and technical specifications

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • State-specific Fire Alarm License (if required by jurisdiction)

  • Experience with integrated systems (fire alarm, access control, CCTV)

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification

  • Knowledge of voice evacuation and mass notification systems
