Electronics Engineering Lab Manager

A local, NY-Proud leader in the manufacturing industry is seeking a talented Electronics Engineering Lab Manager to oversee the assembly, alignment, and testing of RF/Microwave electronic component assemblies. This role plays a vital part in ensuring seamless integration from PC sub-assemblies to module and system-level components. Electronics Engineering Lab Manager Responsibilities

The Electronics Engineering Lab Manager role involves managing testing processes, developing in-process procedures, and ensuring compliance with program standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Employee supervision
• In-process test procedures and data sheets are generated for PCA, module, and system-level testing.
• System interface test fixturing is designed and created to enhance testing efficiency.
• Customer performance specifications and supplied documentation are reviewed to ensure adherence to thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, and EMI test requirements.
• Required engineering documentation is generated, including failure reports, discrepant material reports (DMR), recovery test plans, engineering change notices, and end-item data packages.
• Test support is provided for engineers, technicians, and engineering associates, including tool selection, program-specific test equipment, and procurement coordination.
• System designs are understood, covering both passive (power dividers, filters, crystal filters) and active components (oscillators, amplifiers, multipliers, phase-locked loops, mixers), along with thermistor-based temperature compensation.
• EEE parts selection expertise is demonstrated, including characterization, evaluation, screening, traceability, and derating requirements for space applications.

Electronics Engineering Lab Manager Educational and Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant electrical/electronics component engineering experience required.
• Proficiency in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems required.
