🚨 URGENT HIRE: Customs Specialist – Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid) 🚨

A top-tier legal team in Pittsburgh is urgently seeking a Customs Specialist to support attorneys on complex customs, import, and trade compliance matters. If you have deep knowledge of customs regulations, HTS classification, valuation, and trade compliance audits — this role puts you at the center of high‐impact international trade work.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys on customs classification, valuation, duty drawback, and Free Trade Agreements (USMCA)
  • Assist with in-bond transfers and trade compliance audits
  • Prepare and respond to CF-28, CF-29, Customs audits, Protests, and Prior Disclosures
  • Conduct research and analysis related to U.S. customs laws and import regulations
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients on enforcement matters and trade-related strategies

🎓 Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, Law, or related field
     — (Customs broker license, legal experience, or equivalent on-the-job experience preferred)
  • 3+ years in customs compliance, trade law, or related field
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. customs laws, HTS, and import regulations
  • Hands-on experience with customs filings, duty drawback, and classification rulings
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative legal environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools

⭐ Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or 3+ years as a Customs Import Specialist
  • Experience with trade remedy laws (antidumping, countervailing duties)
  • Familiarity with global trade compliance programs (CTPAT, ITAR, EAR)
