🚨 URGENT HIRE: Collections Manager – Law Firm | Pittsburgh, PA (Onsite/Hybrid) 🚨

A respected Pittsburgh-based law firm is seeking an experienced Collections Manager to take ownership of the firm’s collections operations and drive measurable improvement in cash flow. This role partners closely with firm leadership, billing attorneys, and clients to resolve billing inquiries, streamline processes, and strengthen overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all collections functions with a focus on reducing aged receivables and improving cash flow.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to resolve billing questions and secure timely payments.
  • Develop strategies, KPIs, and proactive workflows to enhance collection outcomes across practice areas.
  • Analyze trends and provide regular reporting to firm leadership.
  • Identify risk areas and implement mitigation strategies to support firm financial health.
  • Support ongoing improvements to billing, collections, and communication processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years of collections management experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • MUST HAVE prior experience working within a law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of legal billing practices, including AFAs, retainers, and trust accounts.
  • Proficiency with collections/billing software and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with 3E/Elite and MiniSoft ARCS is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and firm leadership.
  • Understanding of state and federal collection laws, including FDCPA and FCRA.
  • Flexible, solutions-focused, and committed to continuous process improvement
