SAFETY MANAGER – COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION
A well-established General Contractor who is doing a multi-billion dollar project is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and promote a strong safety culture across commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys working directly with project teams and has a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage safety programs across active commercial construction projects
- Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and assessments
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, training, and educational programs
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns and develop corrective action plans
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and records
- Assist project teams with preconstruction safety planning and job hazard analysis
- Monitor subcontractor safety performance and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Help implement and continuously improve company-wide safety initiatives
- Promote a proactive safety culture focused on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of construction safety experience
- Experience with a General Contractor preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500/510 preferred
- Experience conducting jobsite inspections, audits, and safety training
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with field and project management teams
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
