Business Litigation Associate Attorney – San Diego, CA

A well-established San Diego law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Business Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with 3+ years of experience in business litigation who is looking to grow in a collaborative environment that emphasizes mentorship, professional development, and exposure to high-profile clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop client relationships, provide legal advice, and represent clients in court and mediations
  • Draft pleadings and discovery, including law and motion, depositions, and trial materials
  • Take depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
  • Consult with and prepare expert witnesses
  • Conduct research on complex legal issues to support case strategy and identify new theories
  • Manage fact discovery, including electronic discovery and ESI review
  • Provide clear and comprehensive reporting to partners and client representatives
  • Communicate persuasively and negotiate effectively with opposing counsel

Qualifications

  • Admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar
  • Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably business litigation but not required. 
  • Strong analytical, research, oral, and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage and reprioritize caseloads
