STEM Teacher - Private School - Primary Grades in Boca Raton

Job Description

GPAC is partnering with a cutting edge K-12 independent school in Boca Raton that is seeking to add a STEM Teacher to its team for the 2025/2026 school year. This position will serve students in the early elementary / primary grades.   

The purpose of the STEM Teacher is to 1) deliver lessons that allow students to master educational technology, robotics and coding during the school day and after school and 2) support fellow teachers as they integrate technology into their units of study.

Essential Job Functions

• Helps build enthusiasm among students in the area of coding, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and virtual reality
• Creates and delivers lessons that help students to learn computer science, logical reasoning, algorithmic thinking, design, and structured problem-solving
• Collaborates with colleagues to integrate computer science and technology skills into the core curriculum
• Provides professional development for educational technology integration and computer science
• Engages students in using robots, maker toys, virtual / augmented reality and artificial intelligence
• Seeks out and explores new technologies to improve the program
• Uses programs such as Google Apps, Google Sites, Design Thinking, etc. with students
• Serves as software and hardware technology point person for assigned programs
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Supervisor or their designee

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education is required
• Minimum 5 years experience teaching, preferably in an independent school environment
