Job Title: Traveling Superintendent - Steel Erection

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent with a strong background in structural steel erection or metal building/PEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Building) erection. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the field and be capable of overseeing steel erection projects on a variety of structures, including distribution centers, commercial buildings, data centers, hospitals, and more. This position requires extensive travel as the company self-performs steel erection across various locations throughout the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the steel erection process on multiple projects, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Supervise and lead field crews, ensuring all personnel are following company safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor daily activities on the job site, resolving any issues related to work progress, material deliveries, and crew performance.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being performed to the highest quality and in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, and safety records.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Provide on-site leadership and direction for all field operations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural steel erection or metal building/PEMB erection.
  • Proven ability to manage field crews and multiple job sites.
  • Experience with a variety of steel erection projects, including distribution centers, commercial buildings, data centers, and hospitals.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and steel erection standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle project challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for project assignments throughout the United States.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Compensation:

  • Base salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
  • Monthly profit-sharing bonuses.
  • All travel expenses, including lodging, meals, and transportation, are covered by the company.
