Healthcare Construction Superintendent
Our client is a well-established construction firm specializing in healthcare projects and is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on complex healthcare builds and renovations.
Position Overview
The Healthcare Construction Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with strict healthcare regulations. This role requires strong leadership, coordination, and attention to detail in occupied and sensitive environments.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day field operations on healthcare construction projects
Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, and project teams
Maintain project schedules, site logistics, and quality control
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, safety regulations, and infection control protocols
Lead jobsite safety meetings and enforce safety policies
Communicate regularly with project managers, owners, and facility staff
Manage work in active or occupied healthcare environments when required
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on healthcare construction projects
Experience with hospitals, medical offices, clinics, or surgical centers
Strong knowledge of healthcare codes, life safety systems, and infection control procedures
Proven ability to manage complex schedules and multiple trades
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with construction management software preferred
