Quality Inspector

We are seeking a Quality Inspector skilled with FAI Inspection to join a growing, family-owned, aerospace manufacturer specializing in precision-machined and sheet-metal components. In this role, you’ll ensure that new and revised parts meet exacting engineering and customer specifications before entering production. You’ll play a key role in maintaining compliance with aerospace standards and upholding our reputation for quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review engineering drawings, models, and specifications to determine inspection criteria.
  • Perform detailed first article inspections using precision measurement tools and CMMs.
  • Complete and maintain AS9102 documentation and related reports.
  • Identify and document nonconformances; communicate effectively with quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
  • Support process validation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all inspection records, equipment, and documentation meet internal and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of inspection experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100, AS9102, and GD&T.
  • Proficiency with CMMs and manual inspection equipment.
  • High attention to detail and organizational accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret complex blueprints and 3D models.
