Job Title: Associate Agronomist (Operations + Sales)
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Associate Agronomist to join our team and support a hybrid role that blends agronomic operations with customer-facing sales responsibilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on in the field while also building relationships, supporting customers, and contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Agronomy & Operations
Assist with field scouting, soil sampling, crop monitoring, and data collection.
Support product trials, demonstrations, and research plots.
Coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely delivery of agronomic products and services.
Maintain accurate records, field reports, and agronomic recommendations.
Help with inventory management and logistical planning during peak seasons.
Sales & Customer Support
Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, partners, and vendors.
Provide agronomic guidance and product recommendations to customers.
Support the sales team with customer meetings, presentations, and follow-ups.
Assist in identifying new sales opportunities and market trends.
Deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring client needs are met promptly.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop/Soil Science, Agriculture, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
Strong understanding of crop production, soil health, and agronomic best practices.
Interest or experience in agricultural sales or customer service.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and travel to customer sites.
Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn.
Preferred Skills
Experience with precision ag tools, scouting software, or farm management platforms.
Prior internship or experience in agronomy, crop consulting, or ag retail.
Ability to operate basic agricultural equipment (training provided if needed).
