Job Title: Associate Agronomist (Operations + Sales)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Associate Agronomist to join our team and support a hybrid role that blends agronomic operations with customer-facing sales responsibilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on in the field while also building relationships, supporting customers, and contributing to business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Agronomy & Operations

  • Assist with field scouting, soil sampling, crop monitoring, and data collection.

  • Support product trials, demonstrations, and research plots.

  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely delivery of agronomic products and services.

  • Maintain accurate records, field reports, and agronomic recommendations.

  • Help with inventory management and logistical planning during peak seasons.

Sales & Customer Support

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, partners, and vendors.

  • Provide agronomic guidance and product recommendations to customers.

  • Support the sales team with customer meetings, presentations, and follow-ups.

  • Assist in identifying new sales opportunities and market trends.

  • Deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring client needs are met promptly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop/Soil Science, Agriculture, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).

  • Strong understanding of crop production, soil health, and agronomic best practices.

  • Interest or experience in agricultural sales or customer service.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and travel to customer sites.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with precision ag tools, scouting software, or farm management platforms.

  • Prior internship or experience in agronomy, crop consulting, or ag retail.

  • Ability to operate basic agricultural equipment (training provided if needed).
