Industrial Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Greater St. Louis, MO Area
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
We are hiring an Industrial Mechanical Project Manager to manage mechanical construction projects in the St. Louis area.
The work includes process piping, power generation, refinery/petrochemical, manufacturing, utility, water/wastewater, and other industrial facilities.
This position is responsible for projects from planning and preconstruction through completion, including cost, schedule, procurement, field coordination, documentation, and client communication.
Responsibilities
- Manage industrial mechanical projects from startup through closeout
- Maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost reports
- Coordinate field labor, subcontractors, vendors, material, equipment, and fabrication
- Manage procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, billing, and project documentation
- Work with superintendents and field leadership on manpower, sequencing, and project execution
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, general contractors, and other project stakeholders
- Track project costs, productivity, schedule, and financial performance
- Address scope, constructability, scheduling, and field issues
- Assist with estimating and preconstruction as needed
- Maintain project safety and quality requirements
Qualifications
- Project management experience in industrial mechanical construction
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Process piping
- Power generation
- Refinery or petrochemical facilities
- Chemical or process manufacturing
- Steam and condensate systems
- Boiler and utility systems
- Water or wastewater facilities
- Heavy manufacturing
- Experience managing work in operating plants or industrial facilities
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications
- Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and change orders
- Experience coordinating field crews and subcontractors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
