Job Description

A fast-growing and 100% Employee-Owned General Contractor is seeking a Preconstruction Manager.

Preconstruction Manager Responsibilities:

  • Direct the overall planning and development of new project activities and the coordination of all current projects

  • Assist in project schedule development and tracking

  • Advise clients and internal teams on base building and project management strategies

  • Evaluate and critique the progress of design development, budget, and schedule

  • Develop conceptual estimates using market data and historical cost analysis

  • Determine quantities of materials during early design stages

  • Develop detailed scopes of work for all project-related trades

Preconstruction Manager Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of ground-up commercial construction experience

  • B.S. in Construction Management or a related degree strongly preferred (extensive experience considered in lieu of degree)

  • Strong background in both estimating and project management within commercial construction

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills

  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments and manage preconstruction efforts from concept through execution
