Job Description

HVAC / Controls Service Technician – Commercial & Industrial

We’re hiring a skilled HVAC/Controls Technician to join a well-established mechanical contractor with long-standing service contracts across commercial and industrial facilities. This company supports schools, hospitals, government buildings, and large businesses by keeping critical HVAC and refrigeration systems running smoothly. If you have strong troubleshooting skills and a background in BAS or commercial HVAC service work, this could be the right opportunity for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Perform service calls, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems

  • Install, commission, and support building automation systems (BAS/DDC)

  • Diagnose complex issues on systems such as RTUs, air handlers, chillers, boilers, coils, heat exchangers, and refrigeration units

  • Complete system upgrades, retrofits, and start-ups

  • Support client operations by ensuring systems run efficiently and reliably

  • Maintain accurate documentation, manage tools/equipment, and uphold company standards on-site

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3–10+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC or controls

  • Strong knowledge of BAS/DDC systems, mechanical systems, and refrigeration

  • Proven troubleshooting skills across a wide range of HVAC and control components

  • Experience performing commissioning/start-ups on commercial systems

  • Refrigeration service experience (grocery, retail, etc.) is a plus

  • Reliable work history
