Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to join a collaborative team focused on maintaining and servicing heavy equipment, trucks, and other machinery. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and experience working with diesel engines and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, vehicles, gantry cranes, and semi-trucks.

  • Conduct inspections and document all work in an online service application.

  • Utilize a maintenance mobile app to track and submit work orders.

  • Place purchase orders for parts and maintain inventory for maintenance needs.

  • Follow OSHA safety procedures at all times.

  • Perform additional maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic training or equivalent experience.

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic equipment.

  • Ability to operate trucks and light, medium, and heavy equipment.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Must provide personal set of general mechanic tools; specialty tools provided.

  • CDL preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to traverse facilities and equipment to perform maintenance and repairs.

  • Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 80+ lbs., bending, stooping, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

  • Must have vision and physical coordination necessary to safely operate and inspect equipment.
