Job Description

This rapidly growing company is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, test, and program control systems to ensure efficiency and compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide skid package control submittals based on sales estimate, equipment selections, project mechanical and electrical drawings, and building management system plans and specifications.

  • Create control system software programs to meet mechanical design, specifications, and system sequence of operation.

  • Develop package systems for system controls and programming. Software control programs include TRANE, JCI, ALC, Allen Bradley.

  • Test, program, and verify control panels before release to production.
  • Develop complete Control and Power Panel wiring diagrams for Panel Assemblers.

  • Coordinate package system site controls installation and systems integration. Work with mechanical, electrical, and BMS control contractors to identify and resolve project scope issues.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven work experience as a Controls Engineer or similar role.

  • Proficiency in software control programs (TRANE, JCI, ALC, Allen Bradley).
  • Proficiency in electrical wiring, technical assembly, troubleshooting, knowledge of UL standards, and relevant safety certifications.

  • Experience using CAD software. 

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical sills.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to liaise effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal staff at all levels.

  • Ability to document requirements and specifications.
