Job Description

A growing, employee-owned construction organization is seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor in Charlotte, NC.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of construction safety experience in a commercial or industrial environment. This individual will work directly with field personnel, subcontractors, project teams, and safety leadership to maintain a safe and compliant jobsite.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct jobsite safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead safety meetings and field training.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses.
  • Perform root cause analysis and prevention planning.
  • Monitor proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
  • Maintain safety, inspection, incident, and training records.
  • Monitor jobsite safety performance and OSHA compliance.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness and safety drills.
  • Work with subcontractors and project teams to maintain safety standards.
  • Support safety planning throughout construction projects.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of construction safety experience.
  • Commercial and/or industrial construction background.
  • OSHA 30 or OSHA 510 preferred.
  • Field or craft experience is a major plus.
  • STSC certification preferred but not required.
  • CPR / First Aid / AED certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
  • Experience with inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with field personnel and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and safety tracking systems.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $60,000–$95,000 based on experience
