A growing, employee-owned construction organization is seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor in Charlotte, NC.
The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of construction safety experience in a commercial or industrial environment. This individual will work directly with field personnel, subcontractors, project teams, and safety leadership to maintain a safe and compliant jobsite.
Responsibilities
- Conduct jobsite safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead safety meetings and field training.
- Investigate incidents and near misses.
- Perform root cause analysis and prevention planning.
- Monitor proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
- Maintain safety, inspection, incident, and training records.
- Monitor jobsite safety performance and OSHA compliance.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and safety drills.
- Work with subcontractors and project teams to maintain safety standards.
- Support safety planning throughout construction projects.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of construction safety experience.
- Commercial and/or industrial construction background.
- OSHA 30 or OSHA 510 preferred.
- Field or craft experience is a major plus.
- STSC certification preferred but not required.
- CPR / First Aid / AED certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Experience with inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with field personnel and subcontractors.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, and safety tracking systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- $60,000–$95,000 based on experience
