⭐ Key Responsibilities Technical & Application Support
Evaluate customer requirements, process conditions, and engineering plans to recommend appropriate equipment solutions.
Support equipment sizing, application engineering, and technical review.
Prepare technical proposals, submittals, estimates, and supporting documentation.
Review drawings, specifications, and bid packages to ensure product alignment with project needs.
Participate in walk-throughs, site visits, and technical assessments.
Sales & Customer Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal utilities, consulting engineers, contractors, and industrial clients.
Identify and develop project opportunities through plan/spec reviews, outreach, and engineering firm engagement.
Deliver technical presentations and product training to engineers and system operators.
Manage the full sales cycle — from opportunity development through close and support.
Coordinate with manufacturers to provide accurate equipment information, pricing, and lead times.
Project Coordination
Support customers through the procurement, delivery, installation, and startup process.
Participate in kickoff meetings, onsite visits, and project coordination activities.
Collaborate with vendors, internal teams, and field personnel to troubleshoot issues.
Maintain accurate pipeline updates and customer documentation within a CRM system.
Territory Management
This position manages an assigned territory within the broader Midwest Region, with travel as required.
⭐ Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field — OR equivalent experience with engineered equipment.
3–5+ years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or industrial equipment solutions.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with operators, engineers, and decision makers.
Ability to travel regionally (25–50%).
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience with water/wastewater treatment systems.
Familiarity with pumps, screens, dewatering, blowers, solids handling, or related equipment.
Experience working with municipal clients or engineering design firms.
EIT or PE (nice to have).
Hands-on experience supporting startup, commissioning, or field troubleshooting.
