Estate Planning & Probate Attorney – Jacksonville, FL

A highly regarded Jacksonville firm is seeking an experienced Estate Planning & Probate Attorney to join their growing practice. This group works extensively with high-net-worth individuals and families, providing sophisticated estate planning, tax planning, and probate administration services.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, the ability to work autonomously, and the confidence to hit the ground running with complex matters. Strong contacts, book of business, or referral potential are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a broad range of estate planning and probate matters for high-net-worth clients
  • Draft complex estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, and advanced planning instruments
  • Manage probate and trust administration files with limited supervision
  • Advise on complex legal and tax issues, including 706s, 709s, and related filings
  • Support clients during transitions (firm has clients shifting due to retirements)
  • Work directly with partners while developing your own book and referral network

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of estate planning and probate experience
  • Experience with high-net-worth clients (generally $10M+ estates; associates may handle slightly lower tiers)
  • Strong understanding of complex legal and tax concepts
  • Florida Bar admission required
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and operate with minimal hand-holding
  • Strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and client-focused communication
