A well-respected civil defense firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney with at least 2 years of litigation experience to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to work on complex, high-stakes medical malpractice cases representing hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

What You’ll Do:
Manage and assist in the defense of medical malpractice cases from inception to resolution
Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and legal memoranda
Conduct and defend depositions of parties, medical providers, and expert witnesses
Represent clients in mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with partners and clients
Provide legal guidance and risk assessment to healthcare providers
What We’re Looking For:
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active and in good standing with the Florida Bar
Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience (medical malpractice or insurance defense preferred)
Solid foundation in discovery, depositions, motion practice, and case management
Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Professional, detail-oriented, and client-focused with the ability to handle deadlines and competing priorities
