Associate Attorney – Mid-Level (Corporate / M&A)

Location: Quincy, MA
Work Arrangement: Onsite

The Opportunity

A growing corporate practice is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney with strong transactional and M&A experience to take on a lead role within its deal team. This position is ideal for a confident transactional lawyer who enjoys ownership of matters while also mentoring junior associates.

Practice Focus

  • Mergers & Acquisitions (primary focus)

  • General corporate and transactional matters

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage M&A transactions from structuring through closing

  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients on assigned deals

  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, ancillary transaction documents, and closing materials

  • Supervise and mentor junior associates and contribute to team development

  • Collaborate with partners on deal strategy and business development

Requirements

  • 5+ years of corporate transactional experience with significant M&A exposure

  • Proven ability to run deals independently

  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers preferred

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and client-management skills

  • Active Massachusetts bar license

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $120,000 - $140,000, commensurate with experience, bonus opportunities as well 

  • 1,500 billable target

  • Full benefits package
