Associate Attorney – Mid-Level (Corporate / M&A)

The Opportunity
A growing corporate practice is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney with strong transactional and M&A experience to take on a lead role within its deal team. This position is ideal for a confident transactional lawyer who enjoys ownership of matters while also mentoring junior associates.
Practice Focus
Mergers & Acquisitions (primary focus)
General corporate and transactional matters
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage M&A transactions from structuring through closing
Serve as primary point of contact for clients on assigned deals
Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, ancillary transaction documents, and closing materials
Supervise and mentor junior associates and contribute to team development
Collaborate with partners on deal strategy and business development
Requirements
5+ years of corporate transactional experience with significant M&A exposure
Proven ability to run deals independently
Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers preferred
Strong drafting, negotiation, and client-management skills
Active Massachusetts bar license
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $120,000 - $140,000, commensurate with experience, bonus opportunities as well
1,500 billable target
