Job Description

Position: Special Education Associate Attorney

Billables: 1800 hours

Bonus structure

  • Marketing Incentive Plan for the origination of new business
  • Bonus Plan for hourly benchmarks
  • Discretionary Bonus

Bonus that can range from 2500 - 7500 unless it is a very good experience.  Salary can increase quickly if they are good, however experience drives pay We provided origination fee for clients brought in by attorneys. 20% of receipts received in year one and 10% in year two

If attorneys hit their hourly minimum 1800 hours, they receive a $3000 bonus, if they hit 1950 hrs. they receive a $5000 bonus.

MUST HAVE - Specifically handling Special Education & School Law

What You'll Do:

You’ll counsel and represent public school districts on a wide range of legal matters, including:

  • Special Education Law (IDEA, Section 504 – minimum 3 years’ experience required)
  • Student Rights, Policies & Discipline
  • School Employment & Labor Law
  • Construction & Facility Planning
  • Financial Solutions for Districts
  • Collective Bargaining Negotiations
  • Governance for School Boards & Administrators

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active Pennsylvania bar license
  • 3–5 years’ experience in education or public sector law
  • Must have 3+ years of Special Education law experience
  • Excellent writing, advocacy, and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude
