About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced civil engineer looking to take your career to the next level with a firm that values mentorship, collaboration, and technical excellence? This long-established, employee-centered civil engineering firm — known for its strong relationships with both public and private clients across the Southeast — is seeking a Civil Engineer with a minimum of five years of experience in site development and infrastructure design.
You’ll work on a variety of projects — from residential and commercial developments to institutional, industrial, and transportation design — while collaborating with a talented, multidisciplinary team that takes pride in high-quality work and professional integrity.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the civil engineering team, you will:
Design and prepare site development plans for a range of projects including commercial, residential, and institutional sites.
Develop sediment and erosion control packages in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Prepare technical calculations and designs for potable water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage conveyance systems.
Support permit application processes, coordinating with regulatory agencies and clients to ensure timely approvals.
Collaborate with project managers, surveyors, and engineers across disciplines to deliver high-quality designs and documentation.
Provide guidance to junior staff and contribute to a culture of learning and professional growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (required)
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within one year preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil/site design
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software
Strong understanding of hydrology, grading, and utility design principles
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
