Job Title: Residential Estimator

Location: St. Louis, MO Area

About Us: Our Client is a family-owned and operated homebuilder delivering high-quality custom homes that blend craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail. Their team is dedicated to building not just exceptional homes, but each other up as well. With over 200 homes built annually and growing, we are expanding and looking for a talented Estimator to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential single family homes.
  • Collaborate with design, construction, and procurement teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Utilize estimating software (experience with QuickBid or Onscreen is a plus) and Microsoft Excel and Word for calculations and documentation.
  • Maintain detailed records of estimates, adjustments, and project budgets.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members to clarify scope and resolve issues.
  • Occasionally visit job sites to assess conditions and ensure accurate estimating.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in custom or production home building estimating.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, including Excel and Word.
  • Experience with estimating software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to visit job sites and work in varying weather conditions as needed.
