About the Role:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Manager to oversee laboratory operations for one of our client's facilities in the region. This is an excellent opportunity for a rising professional with a few years of relevant experience who’s ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
As Lab Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence through hands-on lab work, team supervision, and collaboration with production staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily lab operations and supervise technicians
Conduct and oversee testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
Maintain lab records, quality control documentation, and ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory standards
Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Troubleshoot lab equipment and analytical processes as needed
Ensure accurate, timely reporting of test results to the production and quality teams
Maintain lab inventory and coordinate equipment maintenance and calibration schedules
Foster a strong safety culture and provide on-the-job training to lab personnel
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline
2–3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in ethanol, biofuels, chemical manufacturing, or related industry
Strong organizational and communication skills
A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and team leadership
Knowledge of industry safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA) is a plus
