Civil Litigation Attorney

A premier Boise-based law firm is seeking a skilled Lateral Attorney with 5 to 10+ years of civil litigation experience to join a dedicated team of experienced trial lawyers. This position is ideal for an established litigator looking to focus on high-quality practice and trial work within a collaborative environment, without the immediate pressure of business development.

Position Overview

• Job Type: Full-time

• Practice Area: Civil Litigation

• Experience Level: 5–10+ years of litigation experience

• Book of Business: Not required; the firm possesses a substantial, stable caseload to fully support this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.

• Conduct extensive discovery, take and defend depositions, and represent clients in evidentiary hearings and oral arguments.

• Serve as lead or co-counsel in trials, arbitrations, and mediations.

• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients, maintaining high standards of advocacy and professional communication.

• Collaborate effectively with partners, associates, and legal support staff in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Active bar license in good standing (Idaho bar preferred, or eligible for immediate admission).

• 5 to 10+ years of proven experience in civil litigation, with a strong track record in courtroom appearances or trial work.

• Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
