Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with a strong background in ground-up commercial construction. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience managing large-scale commercial projects, with proven expertise in the education market, including higher education, universities, and municipal/city projects. This is a leadership role where the candidate will oversee all phases of commercial construction projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage ground-up commercial construction projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all specifications.
  • Oversee and direct all project activities, including coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective project execution.
  • Ensure that safety standards, quality control, and regulatory requirements are adhered to at all stages of the project.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with project teams to develop and implement project plans, ensuring proper resource allocation and timely task execution.
  • Handle project documentation, including contracts, change orders, submittals, and progress reports.
  • Review project scope and specifications, providing guidance and ensuring project goals are met.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project managers and other team members.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in ground-up commercial construction project management.
  • Proven experience managing education market projects, including higher education, universities, and municipal/city projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Experience with project management software and tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, building codes, and regulations applicable to commercial construction projects.
